6 weeks locked inside… I’m starting to feel like a fish in a tank! Fingers crossed from next weekend we will be allowed out for walks and outdoor exercise!
Work, Work, Work
This week has been super productive in terms of work, and it felt so good! I had to put together a Yoga video and it was so relaxing to look at them. You can find the final result here.

I’ve attended an online networking event organised by Mallorca Expats (a great Facebook group for anyone looking to relocate to the island).
- Best cookies ever!
I’m always disappointed when cookies are not moist and soft enough. But these ones were absolutely perfect! It’s the recipe from my favourite coffee shop in Lille (France), called L’Impertinente. They always have delicious cakes and I’m a big fan of their millionaire shortbread. Here is the original recipe (in French, translated in English below):
– 2 eggs
– 250gr soft butter
– 300gr chocolate (I only used 200 and it was more than enough)
– A pinch of salt
– 125gr white sugar
– 125gr brown sugar
– 350gr flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
1. Mix soft butter and sugars
2. Add eggs and mix
3. Add sifted flour and baking powder
4. Add chocolate (chocolate chips or bar broken in small pieces)
(I recommend leaving the dough in the fridge for a bit before making the balls, it will be easier and less sticky!)
5. Make ‘ping-pong’ balls
6. Bake for 10 min at 180°C
- Leek and Mushrooms Pie

1. chop 2 big leeks, a bunch of garlic and about 500g mushrooms and soften in pan with oil/water/butter whatever (this would be super delish with some chicken too!). season with salt/pepper and herbs (maybe mixed herbs, thyme, sage, rosemary, whatever really)
2. make about a cup or 2 of bechamel sauce and add to the leeks/mushrooms (1tbsp flour, about the same of melted butter, mix on stove to make a paste then whisk in milk until thick) OR, if you prefer dairy-free, sub milk for soy, and butter for oil
3. put some baking paper in a pie dish and then put in shortcrust pastry and bake for 10 min or so until golden
4. add pie mix and cover with a sheet of puff pastry
5. bake in oven for about 30 min

- Sushi night!
That was our first food delivery since the beginning of the lockdown! We got them from Sushi Chet, if you register on their website you get a 50% discount! This was 30€ for 3 people and we were full!
- Banana Bread Delivery
My friend Vili from The Workshop Café surprised me with these yummy banana and chocolate chips muffin, delicious! They are doing deliveries of banana bread, carrot cake and even pancakes! Thank you again xx
Jess got a piano! I might try to learn how to play. I’ve never played any instruments because I couldn’t be bothered learning how to read music sheets.. But if I could wake up one morning knowing how to play an instrument it would be either the piano, guitar or violin!
She taught me how to crochet! I’ve only learnt the basics at the moment but I hope I can manage to crochet around a jar soon! We have them all over the house and it’s quite cool!
Sunday was one of the only sunny day of the week, so I went on the rooftop with my paints and book and I spent a few others doing that. And then to keep me busy without going on my phone, I cleaned our balcony and blinds and reorganised the dining room shelves… My inner cleaning freak is really coming out during this lockdown ahah!
I received another gift this week (quite spoiled!), by my friend Eli from Sunvibes. She sent us beautiful scrunchies and tee-shirts transfer to celebrate Fashion Revolution Week.
