Mallorca Best Beaches and Calas

Turquoise water, sandy beaches or rocky calas: Mallorca has a lot to offer and has nothing to envy the the Caribbean beaches. Here is a selection of some my favourite spots for the summer on the island!

Sandy Beaches

Es Trenc

This is THE white sandy beach with endless turquoise water in Mallorca. It can get quite crowded during the summer.

Playa de Portals Nous

I love this one because it’s easily accessible by public transport. A nice family beach to enjoy the day.

Bendinat Beach

A small beach, also perfect for paddle boarding.

Cala Mesquida

I love the dunes surrounding this beach, it’s quite nice in winter as well as there are some hiking paths starting there.

Cala Llombards

A cute little beach very popular during the summer. What I love about this one are the little fisher houses all around!

Cala Pi

The view of this cala from above is spectacular!

Rocky Calas

Caló des Moro

The most beautiful scenery on the island, in my opinion! It’s not the most comfortable beach to sunbathe and stay for hours but the views are so breath-taking, it’s worth it!

Cala s’Alumnia

A little cala perfect to jump from cliffs. I love the hiking path starting there to enjoy the winter views, you can click here to read more about it.

Cala Banyalbufar

Banyalbufar is my favourite village on the island, I just can’t get enough of all the views from there. It’s really nice to be able to go for a dip while spending the day there, even if it’s not the spot I would choose to spend the whole day sunbathing.

Es Canyeret – Platja de LLucalcari

A little hidden gem, I think we found this one by accident. Te waves can be quite strong and it takes a bit of time to actually get to the swimming spots but the views are so worth it!

Cala Maioris

The perfect spot for a late afternoon swim. There are some natural pools all the way as well a little sandy beach. Perfect to go back up right in time to enjoy the sunset.

Torrent de Parreis

This is one of the must do when coming to Mallorca, it’s quite incredible to arrive there and see the sea in between the big rocks. There are some cool jumping points as well.

Torrent de Parreis
Stairway to Heaven – Torrent de Parreis

What’s your favourite?

There are still a lot more coves and beaches that I have yet discovered, let me know what are your favourite spots to sunbathe and swim during the summer on Mallorca!

Enjoy the summer on our gorgeous island!

Hello again, Palma

After 7 weeks of the strictest lockdown in Europe, we were finally able to go outside for exercise and fresh air. I have never seen that many people out before 7am. This first walk was strange but felt so good. It screamed freedom!

Sunrise at the beach, palya de Palma

It was blissful to watch the sun rising while listening to the sounds of the waves, along with people chatter and laughter.

Oh, I missed that walk!

Cathedral view from palma Beach

I was so happy to finally be able to see our beautiful Cathedral again. La Seu is definitely my favourite spot. Seeing the flowers around the Cathedral made me realise how much we’ve missed while being locked inside. Spring has happened and we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it.

It was surreal to see the usually busy plazas and streets completely empty!

My mind was blown by seeing how much the trees have grown during the past weeks.

Paseo del Born palma de Mallorca
7 weeks have passed between these 2 photos.

What a strange feeling, to be able to enjoy the beauty of our city again. Never ever taking that for granted, that’s for sure!

I hope you are all enjoying your daily walks by the sea and city strolls!

See you soon for Palma Insta Tour!

Heavenly Hike in Eastern Mallorca

A very special December 1st

Mallorca is known for some of its breath-taking views and amazing calas, some with access only by hiking for a couple of hours or by boat. While it might be hard to get there in the hot summer days, it’s the perfect spot to explore during the ultimate hiking season in Mallorca: Autumn.

Let me take you to some magical spots around Santanyi.

We started the hike in Cala S’Almonia.

For 2 hours we walked while having great views.

We passed the cutest house with the most amazing view! Who whished it was available on Airbnb to be able to wake up there?

We finally arrived to Cala Dels Marmols, where we were greeted by the cutest Husky.

What’s best than having a nap on the beach on the 1st of December? You tell me…

The way back seemed way quicker and we stopped at yet another breathtaking point of view.

Back to Cala S’Almonia, we headed to Calo d’es Moro.

What a difference a season makes: in Summer it was packed with people and we were swimming in the sea. This time we could enjoy the peaceful view and empty beach.

One last stop before heading back to Palma: Cala Llombards as the sun was setting and turning the sky pink.

4 calas in a day, the perfect Autumn Sunday.
